The 10X Rule
The 10X Rule
“You must set targets that are 10 times greater than what you believe you can achieve and take actions that are 10 times greater than what you think are necessary to achieve those goals.”
This book is built on two core principles:
Don’t aim for realistic goals. Aim for goals so big that they:
Scare you
Inspire you
Force you to grow beyond your current limits
“Average goals = average results.”
Most people:
Underestimate how much effort it takes to succeed
Overestimate what small action will achieve
Quit too early when obstacles show up
The solution? Take massive, relentless, unreasonable action.
“Success is your duty, obligation, and responsibility.”
Stop treating success as optional. Cardone says:
If you have potential but don’t use it, you’re cheating yourself and others.
You have a duty to push your limits and become the best you can be.
“Unsuccessful people make success seem evil. Successful people see success as their responsibility.”
Fear doesn’t mean “stop”—it means “go faster.”
Most fear is a signal you’re on the right path but about to grow.
“Fear feeds on time. Starve it with action.”
People fail because they:
Do too little
Wait too long
Stop after obstacles
The most successful people do 10x more, act fast, and never stop.
“Average action creates average results. Massive action creates domination.”
Don’t focus on “beating” others. Focus on dominating your space so that no one else compares.
Competing means you're reacting. Dominating means you're setting the pace.
“Competition is for sissies.”
Don’t avoid problems. Expect them. Outwork them.
“If you’re not having problems, you’re not taking big enough actions.”
If something fails, you don’t stop—you adapt and keep going. Most people give up way too early.
“The only difference between success and failure is staying in the game longer.”
Set goals 10x bigger than you normally would
Assume it will take 10x more effort, time, and persistence than you think
Develop a default habit of taking massive action, not just “planning”
Use fear as a compass—not a warning
Stop waiting for motivation. Act your way into motivation.
“Big Goals + Relentless Action = Massive Success”
